DESIRE NCT member Riku will temporarily step away from group activities due to ongoing health issues, SM Entertainment announced on October 22 via global fan platform Weverse.
According to the company, Riku recently sought medical attention after experiencing health problems. After the tests, doctors advised him to take a break to ensure adequate rest and recovery. Prioritizing Riku’s well-being, SM Entertainment said it has decided to focus on his treatment and recovery for the time being.
As a result, Riku will not be participating in any of the upcoming shows starting today. SM Entertainment also assured fans that they would provide an update on his return to activities when his condition improves.
The agency added that the imminent NCT WISH ASIA TOUR REGISTER 2024 in JAPANwhich is scheduled to start on November 3, will continue with the remaining five members.
