NCT WISH’s Sakuya recently supported a minor ankle injuryas confirmed by SM Entertainment on October 5. Unfortunately, this meant that the young idol also performed sitting down during the K-Link Festival 2024.

Sakuya performed sitting due to injury

On October 5, the agency shared that Sakuya had injured his ankle and, as a result, would be seated during the group’s performance at the 2024 K-Link Festival later that day.

Initially, SM Entertainment considered cutting Sakuya out of the show entirely to ensure his recovery. However, due to Sakuya’s strong desire to meet his fans in person, they allowed him to participate while remaining seated. His commitment to his fans, even during an injury, has touched many, demonstrating his dedication and passion for the show.

Sakuya suffered a minor ankle injury today, so he will perform sitting down [NCT WISH’s] show scheduled at the K-Link Festival,“we read in the press release.

“Because we thought it would be best for Sakuya not to participate in a performance that included excessive movement, we planned to have Sakuya skip this performance,” he added. “However, given the artist’s desire to meet his fans in person, it was ultimately decided that he would perform seated, so we ask for fans’ generous understanding that this decision was made based on the artist’s wishes .

Fans also rushed to send their best wishes, hoping for a speedy recovery for the idol. While Sakuya takes time to heal, NCT WISH continues to receive love and support from their devoted fan base.

Get well soon, Sakuya! Fans can’t wait to see him fully recovered and back on stage.

NCT Wish is currently promoting their first EP ‘Constant’ as well as the title track of the same name on which they were both released September 24, 2024.
