In a recent incident that raised concerns about the safety of K-pop idols, NCT’s Taeyong experienced a frightening encounter with a sasaeng fan during a Navy event today. The fan approached Taeyong and unexpectedly grabbed his arm, causing him to visibly gasp and move away in surprise.
Witnesses reported that when Taeyong turned around, he was surprised by the fan’s sudden advance. His group mates intervened promptly, attempting to separate the fan from Taeyong and advising him to move to another area for his safety.
After his performance, Taeyong found himself surrounded by an overwhelming crowd, which quickly turned into a chaotic scene. To ensure his safety, he had to retreat to a nearby building, waiting until the crowd had dispersed before he could safely leave the event site.
This disturbing event comes right after Taeyong was stalked by a sasaeng fan at the Korean Navy concert the previous day. The fan had disguised herself as a staff member, allowing her to sneak backstage and attempt to get close to him without being detected.
This isn’t the first time Taeyong has been harassed by crazy fans. Previously, Taeyong had begged Sasaeng fans to stop calling him live on Instagram.
On March 19, NCT’s Taeyong held an Instagram Live broadcast to chat with fans. However, he continued to receive calls from Sasaeng fans who muted his phone’s microphone.
Taeyong couldn’t help himself and had to directly call those who kept calling him using unknown numbers from the United States. Taeyong’s expressions show that he is extremely annoyed and distressed at being interrupted by Sasaeng fans.
Taeyong then begged sasaeng fans to stop calling him English. Even though the live feed has been muted, fans can still read Taeyong’s lips as he says, “Please don’t call me. It’s so rude. I’m really scared, so please don’t call me. If you know my number, please don’t call me, please…”
Taeyong’s fans also expressed their anger regarding this issue and repeatedly asked other fans not to cross the line and respect Taeyong’s privacy.
