On September 26, SM shared an announcement on fan platform Weverse regarding Jaehyun’s upcoming military enlistment. According to the agency, Jaehyun applied for the Army Band and was accepted into the Military Manpower Administration.

Jaehyun will enlist in the army on November 4 and will finish his service. SM later shared that there would be no events during Jaehyun’s entry into the recruit training center, highlighting precautions to avoid overcrowding.
Taeyong began his service on April 15, and Jaehyun will become the second NCT member to enlist. The announcement has generated reactions from fans online.
