On January 23, Nana’s agency, Sublime, released an official statement addressing recent media reports and announcing that it had filed a counterclaim of false accusation against the suspect.
According to the statement, on November 15, 2025, Nana and her mother were victims of a serious crime when an armed man broke into their home with a weapon. From the beginning, authorities treated the case as a criminal assault and robbery, based on clear evidence and testimony from both the victims and the perpetrator. The suspect has been indicted on charges of assault and robbery and is currently facing trial.
Despite the ongoing criminal case, the agency said the suspect refused to take responsibility, repeatedly changing statements and making false claims against Nana. Sublime’s statement accused him of exploiting Nana’s celebrity status by spreading false information, causing further emotional harm and what they called “inhumane secondary victimization.” The agency expressed “deep anger and dismay” over the situation.
The statement also notes that police recently concluded the countercharge with a “no charges recommended” decision, officially acknowledging that the suspect’s claims lacked any factual basis. Based on this finding, Nana’s team filed a false accusation lawsuit against the suspect, claiming that his actions continued even after he committed a serious crime.
Sublime has made it clear that they will not stand by in silence. They said they intend to pursue all possible civil and criminal legal measures to hold the suspect fully accountable for what they described as a harmful and inhumane campaign against Nana.
The original incident occurred around 6 am on November 15, 2025 in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, at Nana’s residence. Investigators said the man used a ladder to enter through the balcony door, threatened Nana’s mother with a gun and demanded money. Frightened by her mother’s screams, Nana woke up and helped subdue the intruder. During the scuffle, both Nana and her mother were injured and the suspect was also cut near the neck.
