The former member and actress of the Nana school has publicly criticized Sunwoo, a member of the K-Pop The Boyz group, for his alleged rude behavior in a recent viral video.
The controversy began when the videos emerged online that show Sunwoo that dropped its airpods while walking towards an elevator. In the video, he shouted: “My airpod!” While a security guard recovered the object and handed it on it with both hands. Sunwoo, however, accepted him with one hand and seemed not to express gratitude, unleashing a Netizen backlash.
The video quickly became viral, accumulating millions of views and turning on debates on Sunwoo’s behavior. The critics accused him of a lack of basic courtesy, with many who underlined that he did not collect the AirPods himself or correctly thank the security guard.
“It must be scolded”, Nana commented using your personal account.
Sunwoo later faced the problem on a fan communication platform. He recognized that the video could be interpreted negatively and explained his side of the story. According to Sunwoo, he was temporarily confused because a fan had shouted something to him, and initially he did not realize that his airpods had fallen. After finding out what had happened, he said he verbally thanked the security guard, but admitted that he had not bowed his head as a custom in South Korea.
“I can’t explain every situation like this forever” he wrote. “I admit it was my fault if he made him appear like this. I will be more aware in the future to avoid misunderstandings.” He also stressed that he regularly greets staff members and strives to show respect in all interactions.
This is not the first time that Sunwoo faces criticism. In July 2020He was called after a controversy on smoking after being photographed holding a cigarette on a non -smoking beach. Although it was not a minor, fans criticized him for violating the rules on public space and published the image on his official account on social media. At the time Sunwoo emitted excuses, expressing regret for disappointing fans and promising to reflect on his actions.
