Nana amazes with a bold photography book: redefining art through unconventional beauty

The photography book, titled “NANA (ナナ)”, was created in collaboration with the famous Japanese photographer Hajime Sawatari, known for his constant attention to capturing female subjects with depth and individuality.

According to the Seeth Anarchy Library, which recently highlighted the collection, Nana traveled to Tokyo despite her busy schedule and completed filming in two days at various locations in the city. The result is a series of images that emphasize both intensity and spontaneity.

The project has attracted interest for its bold visual approach, including unconventional stylistic choices that might typically be seen as provocative. However, Nana’s distinct aura and confidence elevate these elements into something more artistic than sensational. Instead of focusing on the exposition itself, the photobook highlights mood, composition and emotional expression, allowing Nana to fully embody the role of muse.

Since her debut as a member of After School, Nana has continually evolved her image, successfully transitioning into acting while maintaining her status as a fashion and beauty icon. This latest project further expands his artistic range, showing a bold and sophisticated side at the same time.

In addition to the growing attention of the photo book, Nana currently appears in the ENA drama Climax where he plays the role of Hwang Jung-won. With this project, Nana once again demonstrates her versatility, balancing traditional acting roles with experimental artistic endeavors and solidifying her position as one of Korea’s most distinctive visual icons.
