Two years after leaving Apink, Son Naeun opened up about why she left the group and updated her relationship with the active members. Does she still keep in touch with them?
On September 17, idol-turned-actress Naeun gave an interview to Korean outlet Newsis to celebrate the successful conclusion of her Netflix drama “Romance in the House.”
During the interview, what caught the attention of K-pop fans was her talking about Apink, the group she debuted with in 2011 before fully dedicating herself to her acting career in 2022.

At the time, he celebrated the 10th anniversary of the group’s album by only participating in the music video and song recordings, but did not join in the promotions.
He left two months later.
Naeun later received heavy criticism for leaving the team to focus on her acting career, when other members like Jung Eunji, Bomi, and Hayoung could have done both.
In this regard, Naeun explained in the interview:
“I don’t feel offended. I shot all the music videos for our 10th anniversary album, but my schedule didn’t allow me to do that (promote within the group).
I felt sorry for the members and the fans, and I was also disappointed. We were a team I spent a lot of time with in my teens and twenties, so it remains a beautiful and precious memory.”

He continued:
“Now it’s time for me to show where I stand. We’ve been together for a long time, so I really wanted to stay together until the end, but there were parts where I had to accept that it didn’t happen that way. Instead of getting angry, I decided to let it go.”
When asked if she still keeps in touch with Apink, Naeun confessed that she no longer keeps in touch with the members personally, but expressed her love for them and revealed that she still supports them from the sidelines.
“I’m not in touch with (the members) right now, but I support them as a fan. Eunji’s (Miss Night and Day) work went well, and I felt good that I was the one to pass the baton. I’ll look for all the members’ exits. They’re all working hard, and I support them from the bottom of my heart.”
