On September 11, Moon Chae Won appeared on the Cinetown of SBS Powerfm’s Park Ha Sun, where he discussed his involvement in the film The cursed. The cursed It describes a chilling world in which ghosts are purchased and sold. The film takes place through several interconnected episodes, each exploring how human desires pushed to the extreme can create horror.
The Host Park has Sun stressed that Moon’s character shares his real name, “Chae Won”. Revealed moon, “I think they gave the character that name to launch myself specifically. That’s why I felt like I had to do it.” When he was asked if he was really the first choice, Moon replied with a smile, “It seems like this.”
Describing his character, Moon explained “Chae Won is quite attractive but cannot overcome even a small complex. Her obsession for perfection pushes her to suffer repeated plastic interventions, with her desire that intensifies up to dangerous extremes.” He added, “I could relate to always wanting to be the best, since my profession also concerns appearances. But I couldn’t relate to her extreme side.”
Moon also praised his co-protagonist, Jisoo of Lovelyz, saying, “It is so cute, cheerful and adorable. Even if her character should have threatened me, I still found her adorable, which has made it difficult to remain completely immersed sometimes.”
Although he admitted that he normally fought with horror films, Moon said filming The cursed it was different: “Sometimes I even scared myself watching my films, but during filming, there were no fear. It really made me understand how different the filming is to look at.”
