Momoland It was initially formed in 2016 through the “Finding Momoland” reality show. The group quickly became highlighted after the debut of their seven members: Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayun, Jooe, Ahin and Nancy. Two other idols, Daisy and Taeha, joined in 2017.

Their success “Bboom Bboom” in 2018 catapulted them into international fame, gaining them as the World K-pop Rookie Award at the Gaon Chart Music Awards. Other successes such as “Baam” and “Phumbs Up” have also gained their nominations and prizes.

During their career, Momoland has accumulated 23 prizes of 64 nominations and has become a family name among K-Pop fans around the world.

The internal issues began when Taeha and Yeonwoo left the group in 2019 between charges of manipulation during the “Momoland research”. In 2023, the six remaining members chose not to renew their contracts with MLD Entertainment.
