On March 27, a video titled “JYP fossil(?) Miss A Min, we met her! She asked all about dating, marriage and more” was uploaded to a YouTube channel, where Min appeared as a guest and spoke openly.
Talking about his married life, Min expressed happiness, saying, “It’s really great. I see a beautiful face every day. It’s much more fun to be with someone than to be alone: you find a friend and you don’t have to eat alone.” He added humorously, “Sometimes I feel like I’ve gained a dad, and other times like I’ve got a son,” drawing laughter.
She also revealed how she first met her husband. “We met in Korea and dated for seven years,” she said. “We first met at an EDM music festival.” She added that although it seemed like their first meeting, her husband had seen her before: He had seen Miss A perform “Hush” during his military service.
Min also spoke about the difficulties he faced as an intern. She trained at JYP Entertainment for about six and a half years. “My debut kept getting delayed, and it was hard to see others who joined later debuting before me and being successful,” he recalled. At one point, she even decided to stop being a singer, but eventually regained her determination and started training again.
After debuting with Miss A, Min found rapid success. Just two weeks after their debut, the group won first place in a music show. “I couldn’t believe it and I cried. All those years flashed before my eyes at once,” he said.
Speaking about their hit songs, he shared: “Bad Girl Good Girl is very special because it defined the group, whereas Hush was personally my best era.” When asked about the famous lyric “I don’t need a man” from their song I Don’t Need a Man, Min joked, “It was totally wrong, I can’t live without a man,” making everyone laugh.
Despite a glamorous career, Min has also experienced burnout. “After the group broke up, I couldn’t do anything for more than two years. I was running non-stop and needed time to take care of myself,” she admitted honestly.
However, he maintained a positive attitude, saying: “Thanks to that time, I discovered who I am today and met a good person.” He also expressed hope to reunite with his former group members one day, showing his affection for the fans.
Meanwhile, Min got married to her non-famous businessman boyfriend in June last year, marking a new chapter after seven years of dating.
