A social work director has cleared WINNER’s Mino, who is currently under indictment after he was accused of falsifying his military service attendance records.
The director of Mino’s assigned workplace, Mapo Community Center, revealed that the idol did not receive preferential treatment as he is currently being investigated by the Military Manpower Administration. News about the stars reported.
“I saw (Song) Mino once a day. I checked if he came to work and took his signature,” they said.
“Of course, since I’m not the only one running Mino, maybe I didn’t check in the morning when I was busy. The Military Manpower Administration is checking that part via CCTV.”
The director added that allegations against Mino of forging his documents were not true and revealed that the idol had received recommendations to be discharged from service following the diagnosis that he was “unfit” to serve.
Mino had received a Grade 4 supplementary service rating during his physical examination and was known to be receiving treatment for panic and bipolar disorders.
After the diagnosis, the director revealed that he urged the idol to accept an early discharge due to his condition.
“Song Mino refused and said he would bear the situation somehow. He said he had to complete his service before being discharged,” they said.
As a result, the idol took two consecutive paid sick leaves to recover.
“It is difficult for him to even lead a normal life. His condition goes from high to low in cycles. The situation worsened in February and April,” they said.
They added that they heard that the idol is psychologically unwell and is still hospitalized.
