Recently, OOAK Records launched a promotional campaign by releasing 23 short teaser videos displayed in bookstores in various locations. The unique marketing strategy quickly attracted attention online, but also triggered a backlash from some members of the BTS fandom, ARMY.
Critics argue that the library-themed teasers have similarities to BTSit’s well known”Magic shop“, a concept that has long been associated with the group’s message of comfort and emotional connection with fans. Some ARMY pointed out that both projects feature similar bookstore settings and visual storytelling elements.

Fans also highlighted what they believe to be a particularly controversial detail: a message included in one of OOAK Records’ teaser materials, “Welcome to the OOAK record store.” They claimed it was very similar BTSthe iconic phrase of “Welcome to the magic shop.”


Following the comparisons, screenshots and side-by-side images began circulating in online communities and social media platforms, fueling discussions about whether the similarities were coincidental or intentional.
However, reactions among netizens were mixed. While some users supported the plagiarism claims and criticized Min Hee-jin, others argued that library-themed concepts and welcome messages are common creative elements and may not necessarily indicate copying.
Min Hee-jin has yet to publicly address the allegations. OOAK Records continues its promotional rollout despite growing online debate. The controversy comes amid intense scrutiny surrounding Min Hee-jin’s career moves following her departure from ADOR, with public attention remaining focused on her new projects and business ventures.
