Belift Lab had already sued her.
On November 22, 2024 it was reported by Korean media that Min Hee Jinpreviously from I LOVE ITfiled a lawsuit for KRW 5.00 billion (about $3.57 million) against Belift Laboratory.
Notably, his legal representatives said they have filed a first lawsuit against the CEO of Belift Lab Kim Tae TODeputy general manager Choi Yoon HyukCreative Director Serian Heuand vocal coach Lee Ka Jun on charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Networks Act. An additional lawsuit for ₩5.00 billion KRW (about $3.57 million) was filed against the company itself.
Belift Lab’s CEO had previously claimed in the media that Min Hee Jin had caused the delay of a civil case between her and Belift Lab, which Min’s legal representative denies. Min Hee Jin has filed a counterclaim and the first hearing will take place in January 2025. Furthermore, Min’s representative stated that previous video statements released by Belift Lab contained “numerous falsehoods” and that they would also sue for liability for damages due to the videos. Min Hee Jin’s lawsuit comes after Belift Lab’s KRW 2.00 billion (approximately $1.43 million) lawsuit against Min Hee Jin for damages caused to their groups and company due to her plagiarism allegations.
