On February 12, Min Hee Jin posted a video with the caption, “It’s all thanks to everyone’s support.” The clip showed a dinosaur character riding a bicycle along a road. Notably, the dinosaur wore an outfit similar to the one Min wore during a past press conference, immediately catching viewers’ attention. Towards the end of the video, the phrase “Only One Always Known” appeared next to the logo of his new company, OOAK Records, further fueling speculation.
Min also uploaded a separate image capturing a scene from the video. The edited photo included the dinosaur character, the OOAK Records logo, and five rabbits placed together in the frame. She added a heart emoji pierced by an arrow. Some online users interpreted the five rabbits as a possible reference to the five members of the NewJeans, although no explicit explanation was given.
Previously, in November last year, Min notified HYBE of his intention to exercise a put option on his shares in ADOR. However, HYBE informed her that the shareholders’ agreement had already been dissolved in July, claiming that her right to exercise the put option was no longer valid. Disputing this claim, Min argued that the termination of the contract was unjustified, leading both parties into a protracted legal battle.
On the same day as his social media post, the 31 Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court rejected HYBE’s lawsuit seeking confirmation of the termination of the shareholders’ agreement. The court also ruled in favor of Min and two former ADOR executives in their lawsuit seeking payment for the shares following the exercise of the put option.
The court ordered HYBE to pay approximately ₩25.5 billion to Min Hee Jin, along with ₩1.7 billion and ₩1.4 billion respectively to two former directors of ADOR.
