According to recent reports, I LOVE IT had extended a compromise proposal to its former CEO, Min Hee Jinoffering her a board of directors role. The label, however, rejected her reinstatement as CEO despite NewJeans‘public ultimatum.

On September 25, ADOR released an official statement revealing that its board of directors had agreed to hold an extraordinary shareholders meeting to reappoint Min Hee Jin as a director. The meeting is scheduled for October 17, KST.

The label also confirmed that it had offered Min on September 11 to oversee the production of NewJeans for the remaining five years of the group’s contract with ADOR. But the agency clarified that Min Hee Jin’s return as CEO was “unacceptable,” according to internal discussions.

Min Hee Jin responded to this announcement through an official statement, categorically rejecting the “compromise.” He criticized the proposal as a mere play on words, stressing that there was no guarantee of his return as a council member.

Since the appointment of an inside director is decided by the major shareholder, HYBE, it is uncertain at this time whether former CEO Min Hee Jin will be reappointed as an inside director.

Min Hee Jin’s statement also rejected ADOR’s offer to remain as a producer of NewJeans, saying that the offer was not genuine and included the same “toxic clauses” who refused to negotiate.

According to the statement, Min Hee Jin fears that accepting a flawed contract may make her unable to ensure NewJeans’ normal artistic activities. Therefore, she wants to return as CEO with contractual clauses that reflect HYBE’s sincerity.

The statement concluded on an apprehensive tone, accusing HYBE of using a media game to hide something more significant.

This morning it became clear that HYBE is conducting media activities to discredit the achievements of their affiliated artists. We doubt what else they are trying to hide by releasing an urgent statement today and whether they are trying to create a rift between Min Hee Jin and NewJeans.
