Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, now head of OOAK Records, said she would be willing to produce music for NewJeans again if the group personally requests it, despite her ongoing legal conflict with HYBE.
Min Hee-jin made the remarks during a December 19 appearance on YTN Radio’s current affairs program News Showdown on the front lineswhere he addressed speculation about a potential reconciliation with HYBE and a future creative role with NewJeans.

When host Kim Jun-woo asked her if she could return as a producer of NewJeans if relations with HYBE improved significantly, Min Hee-jin responded cautiously but clearly.
“It’s not something I can decide. Honestly, if NewJeans asked me, I would be open to it any time. We’ve talked and negotiated this idea many times. But right now, the other side doesn’t want it. That’s the way it has been.”
Min Hee-jin stressed that the final decision is up to HYBE and its affiliated labels, not her.
When asked whether reconciliation itself is still possible, Min Hee-jin avoided giving a definitive answer.
“I’m not sure if reconciliation is legally possible at this point. There are so many legal issues involved and I have to be careful what I say.”
A legal expert present at the program added that the situation seems difficult to resolve amicably.
“There are simply too many intertwined legal disputes. Any reconciliation would require an extremely significant decision on both sides.”
Min Hee-jin was removed as CEO of ADOR in August 2024, resigned from her role as internal director in November, and officially left the company shortly thereafter. Since then, she has been engaged in numerous legal battles with HYBE and its subsidiary labels, including Belift Lab.

His conflict with HYBE has had major ripple effects throughout the K-pop industry, particularly given his central role in shaping NewJeans’ creative identity and commercial success.
While Min Hee-jin’s statement leaves the door open creatively, it also highlights the reality that any reunion is unlikely without company approval. For now, his comments signal availability, but not expectations.
