“I’ve decided to support her now.”
MEOVV‘S Narin recently posted a message to fans that touched on a controversial topic.
Narin spoke about her birthday which falls on the National Liberation Day of Korea. Known as “Gwangbokjeol,” the national holiday commemorates the liberation of Korea from Japanese rule in 1945.
I think every season has its own special charm! However, I like summer the most! Maybe because my birthday is in summer? My birthday is August 15th! It is also Liberation Day! So, it is always very hot on my birthday.
Speaking of Liberation Day, it reminded me that there is also a Taegeukgi (Korean flag) in my personal teaser! Did you know? In my personal teaser, there is a Taegeukgi in a classroom-like environment, and the concept of that place is “outdoor classroom”. It’s a fresh concept, so it stands out in my memory.

Korean netizens were impressed that Narin mentioned both Liberation Day and Taegeukgi in her message, which could potentially upset Japanese fans due to her controversial history. In doing so, netizens believe that her displays of Korean pride make them want to support her even more.
