Liu Yifeione of the best Chinese actors, participated in the Paris Fashion Week 2024 on October 2 as a global ambassador of Louis Vuitton. Many fans, however, were put off by her appearance as they felt the brand didn’t treat Liu as they should.
The first incident that angered many was Liu’s clothing. The actress turned heads in a black vest paired with a black ruffled skirt and boots. Her slicked back hair added a grunge aura to the look.
However, fans recognized that the vest worn by Liu was previously worn by Lisa in August during the pink carpet event BLACKPINK‘S The Pink World Tour in cinema is born.
Secondly, fans were upset that Lisa, along with Zendayahe was seated in the front row during the parade, next to the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron and LVMH CEO Bernardo Arnaultamong others. Considering that Liu is a highly regarded veteran actress, many thought she deserved similar attention, but she was not treated accordingly by Louis Vuitton.

Interestingly, Louis Vuitton is known to fill the front rows of its shows with brand ambassadors and friends of the house. Liu was photographed sitting in the front during the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 show in Barcelona in May, together with Sophie Turner AND Stray children‘S Happy. This made Louis Vuitton’s recent treatment of the Chinese actress stand out even more to many critics.
While the incident has sparked some tension between fans of the two celebrities, for the most part they are happy to celebrate the two’s respective success, especially as Asian women carve out their own spaces in the world of luxury fashion.
