Held on January 24 at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, IL Choreographic Awards 2025 marked its second edition. Co-organized by the Korea Choreography Copyright Association, Grigo Entertainment, Danstruct and 1MILLION, the ceremony aimed to support choreographers and raise social understanding of the value of dance copyrights.
The first prize went to the renowned dance group WDBZ (We Dem Boyz), while ‘like JENNIE‘ took home the award for Best K-Pop Choreography of the Year.
Individual awards were also presented. KYOKA was named Dance Star of the Year, with JIN and Locker Zee winning the Best Dancer and Best Dancer awards respectively. Popular dance content platform STUDIO CHOOM received the Dance Impact of the Year award.
The association emphasized that the awards are part of a broader mission to foster an environment in which choreographic creations are properly respected. They pledged to continue efforts to improve awareness and establish a stronger institutional basis for choreography copyrights.
The event was supported by numerous corporate sponsors, including TEAM SAME and Lotte Chilsung.
