The caption “24.1.2026” and their poised, elegant looks — Lia in a pristine white dress and veil, Choi in a sleek tuxedo — quickly sparked wedding rumors, with fans and other celebrities flooding the comments sections in disbelief.
“Huh??” (Huh??) SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi exclaimed, while soloist Choi Yena asked, “Truly!!??” (Truly!!??) – echoing the confusion of thousands of people. Without any official clarification immediately following, speculation matured overnight.
But on January 4, just one day later, the dynamic duo revealed the truth in a lighthearted video. Standing side by side in their wedding robes, they declared:
“Yes, we got married…to dance!”
Lia Kim jokingly added, “After a long courtship, we finally got married to dance.”

The fake wedding announcement turned out to be a promotional stunt for the upcoming one Corm Awards 2025a prestigious event celebrating the Korean choreography and dance industry. The wedding concept was chosen as a creative and fun way to announce their role as co-hosts of the event, which will be held on January 24, 2026 at the YES24 Live Hall in Seoul.
The couple stressed that they were close friends, not romantic partners, but acknowledged the compelling nature of their photos.
“We’re not actually getting married. But yeah… it just seemed like that,” they admitted with a laugh.
