On the February 28 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s variety show Salimnam 2 (Mr. House Husband Season 2)Lee Yo Won made a rare appearance and introduced her youngest son, Park Jae Won, to the public. Since getting married in 2003 and raising three children (one boy and two girls), it was the first time she shared her children on television, sparking considerable interest from viewers.
The biggest buzz of the episode centers on the striking images of her son.
MC Eun Ji Won revealed, “In the past, during a company dinner, Lee Yo Won showed us the photo of her son and proudly said that he looked like actor Park Bo Gum.” Embarrassed, Lee Yo Won laughed and replied, “I must have been drunk then.”
However, when Jae Won appeared on the screen, many viewers were surprised by his well-defined features and hot images, which seemed to support the comparison. His clean image and gentle aura immediately gained admiration.
Presenting yourself confidently as “Lee Yo Won’s Third Son, Park Jae Won”, he also shared that he is currently an aspiring athlete who plays point guard for the Samsung Thunders youth basketball team.
Notably, it was revealed that he belongs to the same basketball team as the son of actors Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung, attracting further attention. The episode also captured Lee Yo Won driving long distances to support her son in competitions, as well as scenes of Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung in the arena.
The chemistry between mother and son also provided heartwarming comedic moments. When asked about his mother’s strengths, Jae Won began listing, “She’s pretty and tall…” before suddenly turning to the production staff and asking: “Can you recommend any more of its strengths?” His unexpected honesty made the studio laugh.
Lee Yo Won jokingly responded, “Maybe I really don’t have any strengths” showing a relatable, down-to-earth side that viewers found charming.
With her rare glimpse into family life, Lee Yo Won not only showed her son’s promising future and beautiful images, but also revealed a warm and candid side of herself as a mother, leaving audiences asking for more family moments in the future.
