On May 12 (local time), Lee Soo Man participated in the premiere of his documentary “Lee Soo Man: the king of K-Pop” held in Hollywood, California.
The event was attended by several artists who made his debut under the guidance of Lee during his period in Sm Entertainment, including Choi Siwon, Shinee Taemin of Super Junior, and members of the Generation of Snsd Sunny, Hyoyeon and Tiffany Young girls.
In the photos released through Getty Images, Lee Soo-Man can be seen warmly holding hands with Taemin and Choi Si-Won, smiling with a paternal expression.
In 2023, Lee Soo-Man had a dispute on management rights with the Leadership of Sm Entertainment. On February 10, 2023, he sold his share of 14.8% in SM in Hybe, led by President Bang Si-Hyuk. The conflict was actually resolved when Hybe announced in March 2023 that he would stop the acquisition process due to internal and external considerations.
Since then, Lee Soo-Man has concentrated on ESG (environmental, social and governance) initiatives based abroad. In the first half of last year, he founded a new label called A2o Entertainment through his Blooming Grace company, launching the Rookie Girl A2o May group.
In particular, A2o May is made up entirely of non -Korean members. This move aligns with the non-competition and non-stress clauses included in the purchase agreement of the actions between Lee Soo-Man and Hybe. As a result, Lee is limited to producing nationally for three years, although it is free to engage in production abroad.
