Actress Lee Si-young has revealed a tense episode before giving birth to her second child, saying she suffered an unexpected hemorrhage that required emergency hospitalization.
On November 28, Lee Si-young uploaded a vlog titled “October 2025 vlog” to his YouTube channel Boosiyoung, sharing his experience in the hospital.
She described calling a friend urgently when the hospital insisted she needed a brace, saying: “Suddenly I started bleeding and I was told to get admitted immediately. They said a guardian had to be there. Can you come today?”
Her friend rushed to her side, and after the emergency surgery, Lee Si-young said: “They told me today would be the most painful day, so they changed my painkillers. I thought it would be different, but it really was the hardest day.”
Her second daughter was born prematurely at 1.9kg and spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit. Lee Si-young said the hospital expenses amounted to 8.9 million won (≈$6,700 USD).
Reflecting on the experience, Lee Si-young said: “The video may seem brilliant, but it’s been a very worrying three weeks. I’m so grateful to my friends and supporters. Thanks to them, my daughter and I are well and back home. I’ve tried to stay positive every day and now we can finally smile together.”
Lee Si-young announced her second pregnancy in July and gave birth to her daughter in October, becoming a mother of two. Her pregnancy surprised the public, as she had divorced in May and had reportedly undergone IVF without her ex-husband’s consent.
