In a recent video uploaded to her YouTube channel Lee Min Jung MJ, actress Lee Min Jung shared fun family anecdotes while reviewing affordable wines with viewers.
While describing the bold flavor of an Argentine wine, Lee Min-jung unexpectedly compared it to his daughter’s personality.
“Even after tasting stronger wines before this one, this one has the strongest presence. If I had to describe it as anyone from our family it’s Seo Yi. She’s the one who completely overpowers us,” he joked.
Lee Min Jung explained that her daughter has already developed a strong sense of independence and strong opinions, especially when it comes to clothing choices.
The actress then shared a recent parenting battle involving Seo Yi’s insistence on wearing a pink short-sleeved shirt despite the cold.
“Since she wanted to wear pink, she refused anything else,” Lee Min Jung recalled.
Since the weather was cold, she and her husband, Lee Byung Hun, tried offering her warmer layers, including a pink cardigan and a padded jacket, but her daughter steadfastly rejected any suggestions.
- “He kept saying, ‘No, no!’ It was the first time we experienced that kind of stubbornness. By the end we were both completely exhausted,” he laughed.
Lee Min Jung also reflected on a comment made in the past by his mother, who once jokingly said, “Just wait until you have a daughter just like you.”
Now the actress admits that the prophecy has come true. “And that’s exactly what happened, I gave birth to a daughter just like me,” she said.
Her mother, who previously appeared on the channel, agrees, saying that Seo Yi is becoming more and more like Lee Min Jung as she grows up.
Lee Min Jung added with a laugh, “I think my mother is secretly taking revenge. Every time Seo Yi throws a tantrum, she says, ‘She’s exactly like you,’ and seems strangely happy about it.”
