Lovelyz’s Lee Mijoo candidly shared a painful story about her ex-boyfriend’s infidelity, alongside Jo Hyun Ah, on the SBS variety show No, but seriously!.
On February 13, the program released a preview clip titled, “‘Should I reveal his initials or not?’ Mijoo’s fury-filled tale of betrayal. In the video, Mijoo said that she was unable to meet her boyfriend at Christmas due to work commitments. Shortly after, she received a phone call from a friend with shocking news.
According to Mijoo, her then-boyfriend had invited a senior member of the same group to Christmas. She was later told that the woman had not returned home, implying that the two had spent the night together. The revelation left her stunned.
Tak Jae Hoon reacted jokingly, “Isn’t this something the police should deal with instead of us?” drawing laughter in the studio.
Mijoo explained that she immediately contacted her boyfriend after hearing the rumor, but he adamantly denied the allegations. “He swore it wasn’t true to the end” he said. “I was so furious that I finally broke up with him. It’s a story from a long time ago.”
Jo Hyun Ah then revealed that she learned about her ex-boyfriend’s betrayal through Mijoo. As the shocking confessions continued, Im Woo Il joked: “Isn’t this like a late night horror story show?” highlighting how dramatic the situation was.
Mijoo recalled warning Jo Hyun Ah after finding out about the man’s infidelity. “I told her, ‘Sis, that’s not the right person.’ I told her everything I knew. Neither of us could sleep that night,” he said. However, Jo Hyun Ah admitted that she didn’t leave him immediately, eliciting laughter from the cast.
Mijoo further shocked viewers by revealing that the same man had also confessed his feelings to her while simultaneously pursuing Jo Hyun Ah and another woman. “He said he liked Hyun Ah, he said the same thing to someone else and even asked me out. He cried and begged, but I firmly rejected him. And at the same time, he was also confessing to Hyun Ah,” he explained.
Jo Hyun Ah expressed gratitude towards Mijoo for her honesty and loyalty, pointing out that Mijoo even offered to participate in a three-way phone call and said that she could mention Mijoo’s name if necessary.
Call the man “garbage,” Mijoo did not hide her anger, while Jo Hyun Ah sadly admitted, “I was the only one who didn’t know.”
