A new episode of the YouTube talk show on October 28th Jeeseokjin Worldhosted by comedian Ji Suk-jin, it featured Lee Mi-joo and actor Lee Sang-yeob as guests. The trio shared food, laughter and open conversations about life, work and love.
During the casual chat, Mi-joo jokingly described herself as a giver “World-class reactions” when in a relationship.
“When my boyfriend gives me a gift, I say, ‘Oh my God, really? I love this! What do I do?’ I react very dramatically,” he said laughing.
Ji Suk-jin then teased her, asking: “So why don’t you have a boyfriend now?” Mi-joo burst out laughing and replied: “Maybe because I react too much!”
The topic soon became more serious when Ji Suk-jin asked her if she would date someone from the same field. Mi-joo responded honestly, saying she prefers not to.
“I don’t date people from the same industry” he admitted. “If we ever break up, there’s always a chance we’ll meet again and that’s something I’d rather avoid.”
Her sincerity and humor struck a chord with audiences, who praised her for being refreshingly open about her personal boundaries and emotional maturity.
Mi-joo’s comments come months after her public breakup with soccer player Song Bum-keun, who currently plays in Japan’s J.League. The two began dating publicly in April 2024, but confirmed their split in January 2025 after less than a year together.
In July, Mi-joo faced new dating rumors linking her to baseball player Lee Jin-young of the Hanwha Eagles, but her agency quickly denied the claims, calling them “completely unfounded.”
Despite past relationships and ongoing rumors, Mi-joo remains one of South Korea’s most beloved all-round entertainers, known for her bold personality, humor and charm on variety shows such as Hangout with Yoo AND Land arcade.
