Lee Jung-jae, who is thriving in multiple fields as an actor, director and major shareholder of the Artist Company, explained his involvement in the company when asked how he would like to be approached. “Sure, I run a business, but I hope people understand that I’m running it to be more active in my acting, directing and producing work. I am not studying economics nor do I have any knowledge in that area,” he explained, adding that he relies on professional management to run the company.
He continued, “I need professional managers who, like me, work hard on creating projects and acting, and who can help the company. That’s why I founded the company, but I want to focus on my work.”
Having become a global actor, Lee Jung-jae made his successful directorial debut in 2022 with the film “HUИT”. Still full of passion, he shared, “I’m writing a screenplay. When you focus on just one, if it doesn’t advance production, it’s zero. I wrote 3-4 screenplays at once when I wrote HUИT, and I’m still doing it now. I am also working on a collaborative project with the United States.”
