Actor Lee Jong-suk celebrated the completion of filming on the Disney+ original series The empress who remarries giving all staff members meal vouchers in luxury hotels and a heartfelt letter.
The actor’s message, widely shared in online communities, read: “Thank you to the entire staff and cast of The Remarriage Empress for your hard work. What seemed like a never-ending production ended safely! Personally, each scene seemed particularly challenging, but thanks to everyone’s dedication, we were able to complete the project successfully. I am sincerely grateful.”
He continued, “After spending two seasons together, supporting and being supported, I wanted to show my appreciation by treating everyone to a meal. I hope my feelings get across. Truly, you all worked hard and did well. It was an honor to meet you.”

The empress who remarriesadapted from the popular Naver Webtoon with over 2.6 billion cumulative views as of December 2024, it is a romantic fantasy epic. The story follows Empress Nabi of the Dongdae Empire, who, after being divorced from Emperor Sovieshu, requests approval for her marriage to Prince Heinley of the Western Kingdom, resulting in a grand romantic saga.
In the series, Lee Jong-suk plays Prince Heinley, the secret heir to the Western kingdom.
