After separating the streets with the gold medal of the Kim Soo Hyun agency last month and signed with Varo Entertainment, the actor Lee Chae Min successfully concluded his role as King Yi Heon Good appetite, your majesty. Reports revealed that, thanks to the immense popularity of the drama, it has received more than 30 new scripts for potential future projects.

In the final of the drama, broadcast on 28 September, Yi Heon (played by Lee Chae Min) had to face accusations of betrayal and unjust, including the shocking accusation of killing the Grand Queen Dowager (SEO YI Sook). Although he lost everything, he fought against Prince Jesan (Choi Gwi Hwa), who had kidnapped Yeon Ji Young (IM Yoon Ah). Although stripped of his throne and exiled, Yi Heon’s crescentable coast ended in a dramatic showdown. In a bittersweet turning point, he accepted the tragic fate of Ji Young, but had miraculously gathered with her in modern times, closing the story with an ending of hope and romantic.

From the first episode, Lee Chae Min has integrated his character, bringing depth and intensity to the role of the tyrant king. His powerful gaze, the strong voice and stable delivery have gained praise from the spectators, while his nuanced portrait of a sovereign persecuted by trauma and desire has highlighted his growth as an actor. The role also put on display his versatility – balance, romance and emotional depth – and helped him build a global fan base, in which he was affectionately called “your majesty”.

Lee’s chemistry with other cast members, expressive performances in scenes centered on food and the ability to draw empathy for a complex character has consolidated his breakout status. Despite being his first historical drama, he was widely praised for his convincing performance and the emotional layers that led to the role.

In his closing observations shared through varo entertainment, Lee expressed gratitude to the cast, troupe and spectators: “From icy winter to hot summer, we all worked hard together and I feel really grateful and happy that our drama ended with so much love. I hope it is remembered as a series that brought laughter, warmth and lasting emotions.”

He added, “For me, this project will always remain significant. It has given me growth, happiness and precious lessons that have become a driving force for my future. I will continue to work tirelessly to offer strong performances in large projects. Thanks sincerely to all those who supported us.”
