BTS member J-Hope has collaborated with Le Sserafim for their upcoming single album titled Spaghettimarking her first collaboration as a featured artist on a K-pop girl group song.
Source Music announced the partnership on Monday, October 20, ahead of the single’s release on Friday, October 24 at 1pm Korean Standard Time.
The collaboration was revealed through a teaser video called “The Kick”, which was released at midnight on October 20 on Hybe Labels’ YouTube channel and Le Sserafim’s official social media accounts. The 22-second clip shows J-Hope dancing to a fast beat under flashing lights, radiating charisma as he strikes photogenic poses that highlight his world-class artistry. At the end of the video, a brief preview of the song’s chorus features the line “Eat it up”, performed together by J-Hope and the five-member girl group.
This marks the first time J-Hope appears on a song by a K-pop girl group, although it represents the continuation of an existing musical relationship between the two groups. In early March this year, Le Sserafim member Huh Yunjin lent his vocals to “I Don’t Know”, a track featured on J-Hope’s special album “Hope on the Street Vol. 1”. Now J-Hope is giving back by supporting the girl group’s comeback, demonstrating the camaraderie between senior and junior artists under Hybe, the entertainment company that manages both BTS and Le Sserafim through its subsidiary labels.
Source Music indicated that J-Hope’s participation In Spaghetti reflects the strong bond and mutual support shared between artists within the Hybe family. Sserafim, consisting of members Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha and Hong Eunchae, operates under Source Music, a sublabel of Hybe Corporation. The group debuted in May 2022 and have since achieved significant success with chart-topping releases and a growing global fan base.
Spaghetti represents Le Sserafim’s first ever single album, arriving seven months after their fifth mini-album, HEAT, was released in March. The group has teased the return with creative promotional content that follows a restaurant and food theme, with previous teasers bearing names such as “Cheeky Neon Pepper”, “Knocking Basil” and “Weird Garlic”. The promotional materials were designed to resemble restaurant order receipts, staying true to the spaghetti theme.
Le Sserafim recently concluded their first world tour, “Easy Crazy Hot”, which included 27 shows in 18 cities around the world. The group will celebrate their success with encore concerts at the legendary Tokyo Dome on November 18 and 19, marking their first performance at this prestigious venue. The announcement of J-Hope’s feature film on Spaghetti has generated considerable excitement among both BTS fans and fans of Le Sserafim, known as FEARNOT, as they anticipate hearing the unprecedented synergy between the established rapper and the up-and-coming girl group.
