In a press conference for the release of their new album, LE SSERAFIM addressed the controversy surrounding their performance at the Coachella festival in April.
Kim Chae Won expressed, “We are very sorry for the many disappointing aspects of our Coachella performance. The group has learned and accomplished a lot both individually and collectively. This was our first time at a large outdoor music festival shortly after our debut, and we unintentionally got too excited and couldn’t control the pace. This affected the quality of our performance. We recognized that there is much more to learn and experience. Improving and showing progress is a long-term goal for us. We discussed among ourselves and committed to presenting the best images. This activity is the first step. We would greatly appreciate it if everyone could look at the group with loving eyes.”
Huh Yunjin also commented: “Based on this experience, I hope that LE SSERAFIM can gradually develop, step by step. The first step is to prepare the album ‘Crazy’. We will work hard to deliver great performances and music for the fans who have always supported us. We have put a lot of effort into researching and experimenting with EDM-influenced house music and voguing choreography. We hope that the audience will enjoy this new release.”
Previously, LE SSERAFIM were harshly criticized for the five members’ live singing abilities during their performance at Coachella in April.
