THE SERAPHIM — who recently faced plagiarism charges ahead of their album CRAZY —are under attack again. This time, the girl group is facing accusations of not only copying promotional campaigns, but also “backstabbing” other fourth-generation stars Aespa.
The controversy began when Eunchae shared an Instagram story on August 31 that featured a sticker promoting their latest release stuck to an elevator door.
Shortly after, a post on the popular online community Pann went viral, accusing Eunchae and LE SSERAFIM of copying a stunt previously pulled by NewJeans during aespa’s Armageddon promotions.
At the time, the feud between the former CEO of ADOR Min Hee Jin AND MOVES has brought to light some controversial demands made by Bang Si Hyuk (HYBE founder) for Min to “crush” aespa. Proving that the battle between the companies did not extend to the girls themselves, aespa’s Karina NewJeans’ appointee Minji with a secret plan to distribute stickers promoting aespa’s return to the HYBE building.

The viral post claimed that LE SSERAFIM would do the same thing. The author of the original post even implied that LE SSERAFIM’s actions seemed “shameless and reckless,” especially considering Eunchae’s close relationship with Karina.
At this point, it looks like they’re doing it on purpose.
Even if the company asked Hong Eunchae to do so, considering how close she is to Karina, it would simply be shameless and reckless.

so when new jeans got Aespa stickers on them, people acted like they committed a crime and sent them a lot of hate. but now another group under the same company is doing the same thing and suddenly everyone is quiet?

The post quickly gained traction, with many netizens criticizing LE SSERAFIM for their actions. Some even called the group traitors. Others focused on criticizing fans who had previously attacked Karina and Minji for doing the same thing in the past.
- “LE SSERAFIM were inconsiderate, no doubt. They even put a sticker on an expensive glass and signed it. What a nuisance for the staff. LE SSERAFIM fans, please take a good look in the mirror.”
- “Didn’t LE SSERAFIM fans criticize NewJeans and aespa a lot when they exposed them? I clearly remember them criticizing Minji and Karina, saying that they shouldn’t put stuff like that in public places. Now Eunchae does it too, huh?”
- “And the elevator isn’t even in HYBE; it’s in MBC… 😂 The same LE SSERAFIM fans who criticized SM for posting flyers in HYBE are now silent. 😂”
