Kim Sun Jin, first-generation makeup artist and widow of late actor Jo Min Ki, shared joyful news with fans: her daughter is getting married. On Nov. 24, Kim took to Instagram to post elegant photos from her daughter’s wedding, officially announcing the upcoming nuptials.
In the images shared, Kim’s daughter radiates beauty in a pristine white wedding dress, embracing her handsome fiancé with a loving smile. The touching scene captured the hearts of many, showing a rare glimpse into the esteemed family’s personal life.
Alongside the photos, Kim wrote: “So this day has come. May your love be beautiful, so beautiful and last forever. Congratulations my love. #WeddingShoot #Boston #Happiness.”
TV personality Ahn Sun Young responded with a congratulatory comment: “Oh my God, this little one is already getting married! Please save me an invitation, sister.”
Kim Sun Jin and his daughter previously appeared in 2015 SBS family reality show Take care of my father during Jo Min Ki’s lifetime. The daughter, once known for her quiet presence on the show, later attracted attention for her academic achievements by graduating early with honors in chemical engineering from the prestigious Illinois Institute of Technology, and later being accepted into Princeton University’s graduate program in 2018.
With a 37-year career in the beauty industry, Kim Sun Jin has remained active, recently gaining renewed interest from the public by participating in the OCT variety show Makeup only on Coupang Play.
He married Jo Min Ki in 1992 and the couple had two children. Jo Min Ki died on March 9, 2018.
