Korean broadcaster Choi Dong Seok is facing new scrutiny after past comments made by his ex-wife Road park resurfaced, painting him as an overly controlling husband. While the former couple is engaged in a legal battle over allegations of infidelity, Park’s statements from several years ago are attracting attention from the media and netizens.
In 2015, during an appearance on JTBC show Hall of historyPark Ji Yoon casually mentioned that Choi had only joined social media to monitor her daily life. She explained that she did not call him often, which led him to become curious about her whereabouts and activities, prompting him to follow her closely online.
In a separate appearance on SBS Plus the veterans show in 2016, Park again discussed Choi’s behavior, describing how he would be the first to interact with her posts and always seemed to keep an eye on what she was doing. She expressed concern about the level of attention, admitting that although her involvement in her online presence seemed overwhelming at times, she found it difficult to ignore.
These remarks resurfaced during the couple’s ongoing divorce proceedings. Shipping recently reported that both parties have filed lawsuits alleging extramarital affairs, although the allegations are not the primary cause of their split. According to reports, the couple’s marriage, which began in 2009, has deteriorated in recent years, with allegations of surveillance, mistrust and emotional abuse.
