Soloist Jessi was recently embroiled in controversy when her acquaintances attacked a teenage fan in the street. She was out with a group of friends when a young fan approached her for a photo. His acquaintance got angry and punched the fan. Jessi initially tried to intervene but ended up leaving the scene. Later, she denied knowing the attacker before meeting him that same day.

Following the incident, Jessi had been at the mercy of criticism and snide comments. One in particular raised alarm bells due to their harsh words. She responded personally via Instagram stories.

While public sentiment in Korea had initially been negative towards Jessi, it seems that even netizens have recognized that things are crossing the line. They criticized the malicious comments for hoping for his death.
