Korean film icon Ahn Sung-ki is hospitalized after collapsing at home

Famous Korean actor Ahn Sung-ki, often called the nation’s most respected “national actor”, was rushed to hospital in critical condition after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest, multiple Korean media reported on Dec. 31.

Local media reported that Ahn Sung-ki collapsed at his home while eating and was immediately taken to the emergency room. Upon arrival, medical staff reportedly performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before transferring him to the intensive care unit (ICU). He is said to remain in critical condition as of the latest update.
