On October 15th, YES appeared on the YouTube channel “YouTube Ha Ji Young”. During the episode, host Ha Ji Young invited the actor to her home for a casual conversation. As they looked around, the production team asked Kim what kind of house he lived in, to which he replied, “Mine has a lot of white and wood tones. I live in a detached house.”
Ha Ji Young was surprised and said, “Living in a house like that must be difficult to maintain,” which Kim Woo Bin agreed, “It really is. It’s not easy at all.”
Kim Woo Bin purchased a single-family house in Seongbuk-dong in June 2017 for ₩3.39 billion KRW (about $2.45 million), shortly after he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer.
He went on to explain, “That’s why on my days off I can’t even go out. I spend most of my time fixing and cleaning things.” However, he pointed out some positives: “The best part is that no matter how loud I am, no one can hear it. I actually tried it! I turned up the volume to see if anyone could hear outside. It’s great because I can watch movie at full volume and since there is a courtyard I can really hear the four seasons.”
When asked about his daily life, Kim reflected, “Time passes so quickly. I feel like I close my eyes for a moment and a few months have already passed. So I remind myself to stay grounded and live happily.”
He added that spending time with the people he loves most keeps him grounded: “I really appreciate the fact that I can live my life surrounded by the people I care about: Sung hyung, Kwang Soo hyung, Kyung Soo and Tae Hyun hyung. We have remained close for so long because there is a basis of mutual respect and understanding. They have shown me kindness, and I try to pass that same kindness on to my closest friends. young.”
When asked how much he spends per month, Kim Woo Bin raised laughs by saying, “When I work, I barely spend money because I don’t have time. It’s mostly on daily necessities. My house is always full of delivery boxes. I eat the same things every morning: rice bread, peanut butter, and natto. Plus, I’m often fooled by SNS ads. Honestly, half of what I buy turns out to be useless.”
