Kim Soo-hyun’s legal representatives deny rumors that the actor has “thousands of photos” with the late Kim Sae-ron

Kim Soo-hyun’s legal team recently dismissed allegations that he kept photographs of the late actress Kim Sae-ron.

Ko Sang-rok, the lawyer representing Soo-hyun, released an official statement on Wednesday denying the claims made by Sae-ron’s family.

“There are not thousands of photos. Such a volume simply does not exist,” Ko said in a statement Korea JoongAng Daily. “If material that has never been presented in police or court documents in the last eight months suddenly emerges now, that in itself strongly suggests the possibility of falsification.”

According to Ko’s statement, the party spreading the allegations had repeatedly promised the release of “thousands of photos” purporting to show the two together. But, at the time of issuing the statement, nothing of the kind had been produced. He later referred to the scheme as part of a “fraud nationwide“targeting an innocent victim.

The legal team also refuted claims regarding alleged KakaoTalk messages dating back to 2016 and 2018. This includes a highly publicized line that reads: “When can I fall asleep in your arms?”

According to Ko, the claim that the actor is the author of the 2016 message is based solely on Sae-ron’s brother’s statement, without corroborating evidence. He stressed that nothing presented so far proves that the actor wrote the message.

Another alleged message from 2018, in which the actor allegedly said: “If you don’t try, brother”, was also denied by the lawyer. He also said that the late actress’ family never claimed or verified that Soo-hyun was responsible for Sae-ron’s death, according to Allkpop.

Additionally, Soo-hyun’s legal team responded to inquiries regarding letters exchanged during Soo-hyun’s mandatory military service. Ko clarified that there is no further personal information beyond that previously acknowledged by the actor’s agency. He further explained that the so-called “Internet letter” cited in recent claims was not a private communication between the actor and Sae-ron but rather a public message commonly made available online to supporters during an actor’s enlistment period.

Soo-hyun’s representatives reiterated that the actor will continue to pursue legal action against the dissemination of fabricated materials and defamatory statements. The team alleges that the spread of unverified messages, misrepresented correspondence and speculative theories has caused significant damage to the actor’s reputation.’
