The film is based on a teen webtoon of the same name that has logged over 17 million views online. The late Kim Sae Ron played the main character “Yeoul”, while up-and-coming actor Lee Chae Min played “Hosu”, a seventeen-year-old boy who has a one-sided love for her.
In the meantime, Every day, us was filmed five years ago, in 2021. Before its release, director Kim Min Jae explained the long wait, saying: “There were special circumstances that delayed the release of the film for a long time. I was a little scared, but I’m happy that the film was finally able to meet the public.”

Speaking about the late actress, he shared heartfelt praise: “If I dare say this about Sae Ron as an actress, for me she was the best. Even when I only explained one thing, she would immediately give two or three different interpretations. There are times when a director gets frustrated because the desired cut doesn’t come out, but she always went beyond what I expected.”
He continued, “Because she was already an experienced actress, she also worked incredibly well with the other actors on set. Of all the actors I met, she was truly the best. She was a natural born to act and was a wonderful person. I really wish she were still with us today. Although there is a deep regret, as a director it was an infinite honor to work with her.”
