Kim Go Eun and Kim Jae Won Promote “Yumi’s Cells 3” During Live Radio Appearance

According to OSEN on April 6, Kim Go Eun and Kim Jae Won will appear as special guests on MBC 2’s radio show O’Clock Date with Ahn Young Mi later that afternoon.

Insiders revealed that Kim Go Eun and Kim Jae Won, who play the lead roles in TVING’s original series Yumi’s Cells 3, will join the show to promote the upcoming drama. Through the live broadcast of “visible radio”, they will interact with listeners in real time, sharing updates on the project and their ongoing activities.

Meanwhile, ahead of its April 13 premiere, TVING’s original drama The cells of Yumi 3 unveiled its main poster on March 24, teasing a heart-pounding romance between writer Yumi (Kim Go Eun) and her PD Soon Rok (Kim Jae Won). The image immediately sparked anticipation among fans.

Returned after three years, The cells of Yumi 3 follows Yumi, now a top writer, whose calm and somewhat monotonous life is shaken by the sudden arrival of an unexpected person. The story once again captures his emotional journey laughing, crying and falling in love through the unique perspective of his “cells”. With Kim Go Eun reprising her iconic role and rising actor Kim Jae Won joining the cast, expectations are high.

The newly released poster strongly hints at Yumi’s next love. A glittering heart in the shape of a lightning bolt falls between Yumi’s bright smile and Soon Rok’s cold expression, symbolizing a sudden romantic spark. The tagline, “At her lightning smile, the sleeping cells awoke,” heightens curiosity about their unpredictable older woman-younger man chemistry.

Although Yumi has achieved success in her career, she still struggles with love. Meanwhile, Soon Rok, a PD at Julie Publishing, may have a sweet exterior but is known for delivering blunt truths. Viewers are eager to see how their contrasting personalities will awaken each other’s “love cells.”

Soon Rok is expected to soften Yumi’s once firm heart, while Yumi will bring energy into the life of the introverted, homebody Soon Rok. Their unexpected connection shakes both of their inner “cell villages,” promising not only romance but also charming, lively cell-animated moments that fans adore.

The production team shared that although Yumi was successful as a writer, she was stuck in a boring rut. His meeting with Soon Rok, a character full of surprising contrasts, will mark a turning point. They encouraged viewers to look forward to Yumi’s growth, her emotional struggles, and the refreshing romance that unfolds between the two.

The cells of Yumi 3 will premiere on April 13, releasing two episodes every Monday at 6pm on TVING, while it will also air a weekly episode on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8.50pm.
