Kim Do Hoon denies controversy over ‘touching Karina’s hand’ at Mystery Investigation Team 2 press event

On February 19, Kim Do Hoon attended the production press conference of Netflix’s mystery variety show Agents of Mystery 2” in Mapo-gu, Seoul. She posed for group photos alongside Karina, Hyeri, John Park, Gabi and Lee Yong Jin.

During the photo session, the cast members held hands as part of the pose. Kim Do Hoon stood between Karina and Gabi, holding both hands as the cameras captured the moment.

However, a clip of the event quickly spread online, with some netizens claiming that Kim appeared to be one “fiddling with” or touching Karina’s hand inappropriately. The short video sparked debate in online communities, and one user even posted in Kim Do Hoon’s fan community, writing: “Don’t touch Karina’s hand.”

As the discussion gathered steam, Kim Do Hoon directly clarified the situation. He stated, “I didn’t touch her hand. I scratched my finger. It itched.”

In the full footage, Kim appears to scratch her finger while still holding her hands as part of the group pose, suggesting the movement may have been misinterpreted due to the camera angle.

Reactions online have since been mixed but largely rational. Many netizens commented:
