Several members of the group quickly became popular after their reveal on the survival show, including SofiaSophia is originally from the Philippines and has proven her talent as an all-round player, making the country proud.
However, recently, some fans have pointed out a change in Sophia’s appearance that could reflect negatively on HYBE.
A viral TikTok claimed that Sophia’s nose has changed in appearance between her time on the show and her debut. A difference is visible in photos from both times, with her nose initially looking a bit wider and flatter and recent photos showing that it is now more pointed with a higher bridge.
Although the video alleges plastic surgery, it is entirely possible that this was achieved by reshaping the nose.
However, the clip raises another point: it accuses HYBE of altering her appearance to fit conventional beauty standards rather than embracing her natural features. This also stands out because Sophia is not part of a K-Pop group, and HYBE emphasized the group’s global nature.
