K-pop artists have come together to support the victims of Hong Kong’s tragic Wing Fuk Court fire, which left 83 dead and 279 missing, according to the Hong Kong Fire Brigade on Nov. 28. The fire, which occurred on November 26th in a high-rise residential complex in the Tai Po district, was completely extinguished on the evening of the 27th, but the authorities raised the alarm at the highest levels.
With the MAMA Awards 2025 Taking place at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on November 28 and 29, K-pop stars and their agencies actively contributed donations while keeping close attention to local relief efforts.
Main contributions
SM Entertainment donated HKD 1 million (₩188 million) to the Hong Kong Red Cross, while RIIZE contributed HKD 250,000 (₩47 million).
aespa, with Chinese member Ningning, donated HKD500,000 (~₩94 million).

(G) I-DLE, with Chinese member Yuqi, contributed CNY1 million (~₩200 million) to the China Po Sun Foundation for emergency relief and reconstruction.
GOT7’s Jackson, originally from Hong Kong, donated HKD 1 million (~₩188 million) through his TeamWang brand to local hospitals, expressing gratitude to first responders and solidarity with victims.


YG Entertainment also donated HKD 1 million, with the participation of groups BabyMonster and Treasure MAMA Awards stage. YG announced the donation via his official Weibo account, expressing deep condolences for the lives lost and damage caused by the accident: “We are heartbroken by the human and material losses caused by the fire in Hong Kong. We express our deepest condolences to all the victims.”

The company also recognized the efforts of local emergency responders, saying: “We sincerely thank and respect all those who led the rescue operations during this difficult time. To support the urgent relief and reconstruction efforts, we have decided to make this donation. We hope that even a small contribution can bring warmth and strength to the affected communities.”
Jackson posted on social media about local evacuation shelters and said: “I want to stand by all those affected in these difficult times and sincerely thank the firefighters, rescue teams, medical staff and all frontline workers for their dedication in extreme conditions.”
MAMA premium adjustments
Despite the tragedy, the MAMA Awards 2025 will proceed to Kai Tak Stadium with live broadcasts. Red carpet events were canceled and organizers stressed that the ceremony would carry a “Support Hong Kong” message to share grief and raise awareness of victim assistance.
