“K-Pop Demon Hunters” singer-songwriter EJAE has released a new solo single titled “Time After Time,” her first song since making Grammy history with the hit song “Golden” from the Netflix movie soundtrack.
The new single was released just days after “Golden” from the animated film “K-Pop Demon Hunters” won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media, marking the first time a K-pop song has received a Grammy in this category.
The emotional pop track “Time After Time” is described as a heartbreaking anthem that follows the story of someone trying to move on from a past relationship but finds their thoughts returning to the same person again and again. EJAE said the melody has stayed with her for years, similar to the lingering feelings that inspired the song, according to Rolling Stone.
“Golden,” performed by EJAE as part of the fictional girl group HUNTR/X in “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” has become a global success story and opened the door to his latest solo work.
