K-Pop Boy Group Monsta X has announced their return program for their next mini album entitled Xwhich will be released on September 1, 2025.
The announcement came through a poster of a program shared by the group agency, Starship Entertainment, through the official channels on social media of Monsta x on August 5, 2025. The poster outlines a series of one -month teaser content designed to build advances that lead to the launch of the album.
The return program starts with the tracklist reveal On August 8th. This will be followed by the exit of concept photos for two versions of the album: The Unknown x version on August 10 and the Hello x Version on August 12th. These first teaser aim to take a look at the visual and thematic elements of the album.
Further promotional contents include a teaser of music videos for a pre-report track on August 16, with the entire pre-report song that digitally falls on August 18th. On August 21, a performance video of this pre-Rilacio track will be released to maintain the momentum before the official return.
Monsta X will continue to make fun of the fans with the conceptual photos of the Underdog X version on August 23 and the XX version on August 25th. As the return date approaches, a musical teaser video for the album The track of the title is scheduled for August 30th, followed by a preview of the album on August 31st. The complete mini album X It will therefore be officially released on September 1st at 18:00 KST.
The next album, XHe marks the first return of the Montsta X group in four years and coincides with the tenth anniversary of the group from the debut in 2015. The letter “X” in the album title symbolizes the unknown and also represents the Roman number for 10, highlighting the meaning of this milestone. The group’s agency described the album as a bold next chapter that reflects their musical evolution over the decade.
Before the official return announcement, Monsta X presented the song “Fire & Ice” from the new album during their concert for the tenth anniversary “2025 Monsta X Connect X.” This pre-report track was self-composed by member Hyungwon and showed the intensity and art of the group’s signature, increasing fans’ expectations for the new version.
All six members returned from their military service, with only the youngest member, IM, who enlisted later in 2025. During the group’s break, the members remained active through projects alone and unitary while preparing for a strong return with this album.
