Recent reports have emerged revealing that Tokki is allegedly attempting to manipulate public opinion on K-net, the prominent online community and news platform, through discussions in the NewJeans forum on DC Inside. This effort reportedly involves collaboration with the administrators of South Korea’s major fan pages.
In a detailed guide shared within the community, K-net users were encouraged to engage in organized comment campaigns to bolster support for NewJeans. The guidelines suggest the following strategies:
- Entertainment articles: Users are advised to comment on articles on NewJeans rather than simply react with likes or “wow”, as these reactions have minimal impact on public perception. Comments should focus on major news outlets that allow open comments.
- Older articles with low engagement: It is deemed unproductive to handle comments on these posts and fans are encouraged to ignore them.
- YouTube and Instagram: The strategy discourages excessive comments unless there are significant concerns in major channels, as comment management on these platforms has proven ineffective.
- Political involvement: Fans are warned to avoid any political connections, ensuring that NewJeans and their fan base, known as Bunnies, are not misconstrued as affiliated with any political party or figure.
- Comment templates: The guidelines emphasize the importance of consistency in comment titles, avoiding personal opinions and avoiding the original titles of articles or social media. Users are asked to focus on writing positive comments first, then report and downplay any negative comments they encounter.
Additionally, fans request that at least 10 positive comments (선플) be left when sharing articles. After writing, refresh the page and select 3-4 positive comments or well-reasoned criticisms of the article to vote on. This is the initial step.
If the article already has many negative comments, leave a positive comment first. So, look for highly rated positive comments and upvote them. If no positive comments are found, refresh the page to find the 3-4 most recent positive comments to vote on.
Simply upvote 3-4 positive comments and downvote (비추) negative comments ranked 3 to 5 in the top comments section. If there is enough interaction and positive comments reach ranks 3, 4 or 5, you can aim for positions 1 or 2.
