A Korean drama made news after defeating 244 other works to secure the prestigious Grand Prix, marking MBC’s first honor in two decades since then Jewel in the palace (2004). The drama in question, DoubtHe also reached the peak assessments of 9.6% and gained an invitation to the non -competitive section of the eighth Festival of the International Cannes series.
The 10 episodes series ended with the success for its strong writing and direction, at the top of the “Bast Series of 2024” list of Cine21. The director Song Yeon-Hwa, the main actor Han Suk-Kyu and the nascent actress Chae Won-Bin were all recognized as “figures of the year”. Han later took home the Daesang (Grand Prix) to the MBC Drama Awards, while Chae Won-Bin gained the best new actress.
