The company explained: “In May, KG left the group’s residence and requested an interview through his legal representative. In response, we temporarily suspended VCHA activities and sought various solutions through negotiations with KG representatives. However, we recently received no response from KG and our legal representative was also waiting for a response.“
They added: “In this situation, KG unilaterally revealed false and exaggerated claims to the public and opted for legal action, which is extremely regrettable. This has caused significant harm to other VCHA members, who have been diligently preparing for the album’s release in the first half of 2025 and other planned activities, as well as to our company. We will take all necessary steps to ensure that neither VCHA nor JYP members suffer further harm as a result of this matter.“
On December 8, KG announced: “Yesterday (December 7) I filed a lawsuit to terminate my contract with JYP Entertainment and leave the team. I cannot support an environment where a member has attempted extreme measures and suffered from an eating disorder that has led to self-harm. In May I decided. I am worried about the remaining members. They are subjected to grueling working hours, extreme restrictions on their private lives and have accumulated huge debts to the company without receiving almost any compensation.“
About VCHA
VCHA is a six-member girl group consisting of KG, Lexi, Camilla, Kendall, Savanna and Kaylee. The group was formed through A2Ka survival audition jointly produced by JYP and Republic Records. VCHA debuted in January with high expectations, combining K-pop’s rigorous training system and the talent of versatile global American members. They received praise for their skills, visuals, music and content quality, signaling the success of JYP’s new global strategy.
However, the group faced challenges when Kaylee suspended operations in March due to health issues, and now KG has announced her departure, putting VCHA in a difficult position.

Dearest,
This is JYP USA.
We would like to address the recent lawsuit filed by Kiera Grace Madder (hereinafter referred to as “KG”) and her public statements on social media.
In May this year, KG left the group’s residence and initiated discussions through its legal representatives. In response, we have temporarily suspended VCHA’s planned activities and have engaged in extensive discussions with KG representatives to explore potential solutions. However, we have recently received no response from KG representatives, leaving our legal representatives awaiting further communication.
We deeply regret KG’s decision to file a lawsuit and make one-sided public statements containing false and exaggerated claims. This action caused significant harm to the other members of VCHA and JYP USA who have been working diligently on their next album and plans for early 2025.
JYP USA will take all necessary steps to ensure that neither other VCHA members nor JYP USA suffer further harm as a result of this matter.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Yes, United States
