On February 26, 2025, JYP Entertainment took a strong position against the stalking behavior towards their artist, TWICE. Although they did not specify who the individual is, they made a clear declaration that the alleged “fan” committed a crime.

Recently, it has come to our attention that a certain individual has indiscriminately sent letters containing inappropriate content and photos that come from disappointments, to members twice. These letters also mention how they continued to grit the workplace twice and the residential areas continuously. This caused serious psychological damage and anxiety not only for artists but also for those who surround them. In response, we have adopted measures to improve security to ensure the safety and protection of artists and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Acts how to wait or look at someone in their daily places or near these locations, without the approval of the person in question, using mail, telephone, etc., to send articles such as letters, images or video-plates fall within the definition of ” Stalking behavior “according to the law that punishes these stalking crimes.
Therefore, the repeated sending of letters containing disturbing and unpleasant contents, in addition to gritting in the personal spaces of the artists against their will, are clear cases of “stalking behavior”. These acts can be seriously punished pursuant to this law.
We would like to underline once again that these actions are in clear violation of the desires of the artists. If the individual does not immediately interrupt the aforementioned stalking behavior, we will take all possible legal actions available using the strongest methods, without any clemency or regulation.
